Growing GM Crops in Australia Could Lead to Massive Litigation
We have received sound legal advice that should GM seeds supplied by Monsanto or their subsidiaries to Australian GM farmers contaminate non GM farmers crops, or should they supply farmers with pesticides or herbicides that pollute neighbours properties, under Australian law those responsible directly or indirectly are open to prosecution. The precedent for litigation to succeed can be found- Link- Update February 2008- Monsanto Fined $700 Million. The evidence appearing on our website regarding Monsanto and their subsidiaries push for GM farming and in the long term will be diabolical for Australian farmers.All GM information will be posted to Prime Minister Rudd, Federal Agriculture Minister Tony Bourke, Tony Windsor, NSW Premier Morris Iemma and Victorias State Agriculture Minister Joe Helper. We hope that the Federal Labor Government and their State and Territorial counter-parts do not force those farmers devastated by drought to diversify to growing GM crops.This type of action would be identical to the way Robert Mugabe governs Zimbabwe. In danger of becoming repetitive was the Howard-Anderson-Liberal-National Coalition with the support of the then Federal Labor opposition Guilty of deliberately leaving the Australian sugar farmers out of the equation by not including them in the Australia-United States Free Trade Agreement. Is it possible it was done to give struggling sugar farmers who wanted to remain on their farms no choice but to diversify to growing GM crops? Is it possible that the State Labor Governments worked in tandem with the then Howard- Anderson coalition government to intentionally deregulate the dairy industry forcing battling farmers to diversify to growing GM crops? It appears to many Australians on the outside looking in, that our allegations appear to be more likely, than not.
