We the Australian voter in the main are apathetic, when it comes to reality such as taxpayer funded political spin. We can be used and abused and yet we continue to vote for tweedle dumb or tweedle dumber. A good example of this is when Prime Minister Bob Hawke’s self proclaimed world’s best Treasurer, Paul Keating introduced a bi-annual excise on Alcohol, Tobacco and Fuel which indexed against the CPI on the first of February – August. A couple of years later the NSW Coalition – Greiner – Murray Government introduced a three cents by three cents fuel tax, which was a double whammy fuel tax, supported by both the Liberal – Coalition and the Labor Party. So Australians beware of this new carbon emissions trading scheme that is based on fraudulent, scare mongering and unscientific evidence relating to climate change and global warming. This giant lie is being pushed not only by the Kevin Rudd – Penny Wong Federal Government but by Opposition Leader Malcolm Turnbull ably supported by the mis informed “tree-huggers” the Greens and the so called environmentalists.
