FEDERAL ELECTION 2010

We will dedicate this month to a special Preview of the Federal Election

The outcome of this election will be critical to Australia’s future, its economic growth and the standard of living for every Australian and their families.

Who should Australian's Vote for!

What are the alternatives!

What are the real issues !

We need a change, we need strong leaders, those that will not be corrupted, those who will be Transparent! Accountable with vision and Honesty those who will not sell our assets to foreign investors. Those who will work to build a better Australia for all Australian's.

Remember that we have had 100+ years of Political Parties that have taken us into Globalisation path with low cost developing countries, ultimately reducing Australia to a 'service only provider'. This will continue to undermine the financial and work security prospects of the average Australian working family. Our political leaders tell us that we have never been better off, why then is 80% of Australia's wealth with 10% of the people, where the rich get richer and the worker gets poorer!

Why is it that the Federal Governments reforms to the Taxes and IR Laws continue to favour the Top End of Town

The Voting System

The 2 party preferred voting system combined with preferential voting guarantee's the major parties maximium votes. This in itself, is intimidating and corrupt therefore conflicting with our constitution.

Voters must challenge their local member and insist on a federal referendum in order to change ‘ below the line ‘ voting system for the upper house .

Remember the democratic system we have under the commonwealth means that governments are voted in by the people, for the people. The AEC [Australian Electoral Commission] the Aust Voter must insist they release details of all MP's and Candidates standing and to show preferences at least 14 days prior to polling day.

If you wish to ensure your vote does not go to your local sitting member or the major political parties, then place them last on ballot paper. Look for your True Independent, if elected they can provide checks and balances in parliament. More importantly the True Independent works for the people- not for the party.

We can assure you that the following information and UpdateLinks> should be compulsory reading for all voters.

We have prepared forms for each State on how to Vote for the Senate [under the line ] Refer home page.   Just copy to word and download.

This will be crucial to ensuring that the Greens do-not gain the balance of power in the Senate. Why ! read on.

We believe the Government and Opposition, and the Greens  have as in the past performed poorly, especially the current Labor Government in the past Kevin Rudd and John Howard and their senior ministers , have acted like dictators and you can be assured that with the spin from Julia Gillard and Tony Abbott , that Australians will have to compromise , regardless of the result.

Who should we vote for !

If we consider that one party , either the current Government or the Opposition

will lead Australia into 2013, then the lesser of too evil’s should be the Liberal/National’s.

Remember that the Labor Government has a deal with the Greens, Bob Brown has already stated that he wants to gain extra seats in the Senate , and will push for a full commitment to the ETS, and remember that if Labor is re-elected Julia Gillard has a mandate to re-introduce the ETS and its huge carbon Tax by 2012.

Every Australian worker and their families cost of living will become prohibitive.

Lets look at some facts

The federal Labor Government stimulus and reckless spending of taxpayers revenue has resulted in huge foreign loans in excess of $150 Billion and continued borrowings of $100 million per/day. Australian families will be paying for this debt for the next decade. Why didn’t the Government issue bonds and borrow from the $1.6 Trillion held in Australian Superannuation.  Ask you local MP?

Sustainable Population Growth and Immigration

Employment/Industrial Relations

The Federal Government boasts that their policies have resulted in record low unemployment, and the opposition has not challenged these figures! The reason has been that both parties will continue to perpetuate a lie to avoid voter backlash on the sensitive issues. the real unemployment figures do not  include casual employment [ currently at 37% of the workforce ]  and those working more than one hour per day.

Currently our youth unemployment in some states is 28% to 32%.

Government must develop better strategies to ensure greater opportunities for skills

In order to build a smarter Australia.

Employment for every able bodied Australian must be first consideration of the government, when calculating immigration levels.

Lack of Infrastructure spending and forward planning, has been and will be the catalyst for future growth and prosperity in Australia .

The Government and their bureaucrats confirm that they are responsible for our booming economy, the facts are this is almost entirely attributed to the Minerals / Mining and Resources Boom. However the reality is that very little of the true value is returned to Australia as these big businesses and Corporations pay little or no Tax. As well the compounding elements of large buy out's of many of Australia's other core resources in manufacturing and Agricultural sectors by these foreign corporations. Eliminate Australia's control of its own resources. Our Exports have suffered and Australia as at Dec/2009 has 67 consecutive months of trade Deficit now amounting in excess of$350 Billion. In fact Australia's debt is fast spiralling out of control and its ability to service this debt is decreasing. RBA Figures show this debt is now over $1 trillion. How did this occur!

Previous and Current Federal Governments have been and still are responsible for poor and lopsided trade negotiations. The demise of our exports in area's of Manufacturing / Agricultural Products and others were the result of poorly negotiated  Trade Agreements. These are detailed under ‘ Where is Australia Heading’

Education

The ANU has stated that our main universities are full of foreign students, yet last year we again had record high numbers of school leavers who qualified for University entry were turned away. And new figures released show that Aust tertiary level [per / head of population] had droped from third to eight in the world. Higher Education opportunities must be available and affordable to all Australian's Based on Merit.

The Governments Skilled Migration Programmes 456 / 457 Visa has approx

190,000 foreign workers, no doubt these are included in Governments overall figures.

We should have grave concerns about the Government' Building a Smarter Australia' when a report released recently by the ANU vice chancellors committee, condemning the Governments lack of funding and their warning that could effectively retard the future of some curriculum.

The Federal Government announced recently that it had increased the R@D

[Research and Development] grants by $300m, this is totally under funded as they were advised that around $900m would be needed for important projects.

Taxation

The current taxation system is too complex and requires the average worker and small business to pay the majority of total revenue collected.

This system of revenue collection is flawed and will not meet the demands that will be required in the future Unless GST is increased considerably.

The answer is a Transaction Tax.

 Interest Rates

The Federal Treasurer constantly boasts of the Governments stimulus package measures  resulted in effective  economic management  keeping inflation at 2.9% and Low Interest Rates He must be in fairyland! has he ever been to a supermarket to check the price of food, or been to a service station and paid for fuel or had to pay childcare fee's as both parents need to work to survive - owning your own home is a luxury that most of our children will not have in the future. We have increasing Personal debt at an alarming rate [Credit card debt now close to $50 Billion at around 17%] Let's look at who's conning who, I purchased my home for $80,000 in 80's @ 12% bank finance, this home was sold / Purchased last year for $385,000 @ 6.75% bank finance [Mr  Swan  which mortgage would you want? ]

The real increased costs can be attributed to Governments Taxes / Levies and Greedy land developers, together they add approx $90,000 to cost of average $450,000 home package.

The Banks continue with excessive charges on mortgages even when they record $billions in profit.

ABS Figures show a record 1400 mortgage foreclosures last year. Australian's need to support any move establish a people's Bank. This must be the first step in control over the cost of mortgage finance.

Agedcare Facilities

Association's figures released this week, alarmingly show that 40% of facility providers have been operating at a loss and unless Government funding is increased soon many of these facilities will have close. Spokesperson for the association said that the government was well aware of this, with still no immediate relief in sight, the situation is critical. This is a disgrace and furthermore an insult to all Australian's -Where are our taxes going!

Hospital and Medical Services

For anyone needing to attend a Public Hospital Emergency dept or waiting for Elective Surgery may think that it is the early 1900's. Another immediate concern is the public Dental system with waiting lists of over 200,000 those most vulnerable the young and elderly. Government must be held accountable What better use could funds from the budget surplus be used for!

Those who took up Governments 30% rebate offer and joined Private Medical Insurance, now find that increased premiums have absorbed any benefit and most funds ancillary cover ie: Optical/ Dental choice of medical practitioner fee's, insured needs to cover large financial gap.- again the public have been conned.

Highways and Transport

Every election we hear promises of the large amount of taxpayers funds and Fuel levies that will be used for construction of highways into the future, the rebuilding process takes years or doesn't occur. The ever increasing traffic flow quite often is greater than the highway's capacity, and can create dangerous conditions. The Government would like to privatise many of new super highways into Tollways and avoid further funding.

For the real facts
