UPDATE – OCTOBER PART TWO

ELECTION INSIGHT TRUTH? ACCOUNTABILITY? AND TRANSPARENCY?

There has been only two major political parties elected to govern Australia since Federation, (1901).  Unfortunately during the past three decades the Federal Coalition and Labor Party have become complacent in believing we are too apathetic to register any form of protest vote on election day.  They have justified their feelings because we continue to vote out Tweedle Dee and replace them with the Tweedle Dumber part or Vice Versa.  Let’s have an honest scrutiny into the Federal Labor and Liberal-national Coalition performances for the past 30 years.

In 1975 Gough Whitlam’s Labor Party endorsed the “Lima Agreement” which led to the closure of numerous manufacturing companies which created massive unemployment.  Return to our main page, for the facts, Link >>>> Lima Declaration.

In 1982 Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser had a trilateral meeting with President Reagan and British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, re: the implementation of a Neo-Liberalism Policy, (Globalisation).

In 1983 Bob Hawke’s Labor Party defeated Malcolm Fraser’s Coalition Government.

In 1984 the newly elected Hawke Labor Government introduced the start of Neo-Liberalism by implementing “Tariff Concession Systems – Orders” also known as Tariff Classification Orders.  For further information on how this system was applied: Link >>>> Index – Update – July.

Between Hawke and Keating they managed to sell off our Airline and the People’s Bank “the Commonwealth.”  Link >>>> Return to our main page – Banks.

Keating went further by introducing the National Competition Policy (NCP) and putting Gats, an Agreement on Trade in Services on the agenda.  The factional in fighting within the major political parties is a recurring event, i.e. left wing, right wing, centre, right of centre and left of centre, one could be forgiven for believing they were voting for a football team.

Whilst major political parties are controlled by the number crunching and caucus votes the Australian Community will find little truth in Government and no Transparency, what so ever.

The Howard-Anderson Coalition Government is the perfect example of telling lies, misleading the Australian Public by omission and failing to be Transparent in implementing major legislation.

Following are some of the true facts;

1.      The part privatisation of Telstra

2.      Although the Australian People are the major shareholders in Telstra the Howard Government allow the minority shareholders to dictate to us.

3.      If you are happy to pay for timed phone calls higher rental fees and be responsible for repairing faulty Telco equipment at your own expense, then the Howard-Anderson, Liberal-National Coalition should receive your vote, as they are adamant that they will fully sell off Telstra sooner, rather than later.

4.      The selling off of the Sydney Airport to the Macquarie Bank was another example of the Howard Government’s policy of selling off the Farm.

5.      Messrs. Howard and Treasurer Costello continue to espouse how great their Government is at managing the economy yet fail to inform us that since they were first elected that our balance of payments has almost quadrupled.

6.      The aforementioned continue to boast about record retail sales, but overlook to mention that the majority of transactions are with credit cards which in the main is responsible for our Foreign Debt Blowout.

7.      Our Political Leaders continue to brow-beat us about how Australia is a great Democracy, and yet love her or hate her they stood by whilst Pauline Hanson was jailed for having the Audacity to practice Free Speech.

8.      John Howard has declared he will fight the election on Truth and Transparency and yet allowed Queensland Labor Premier Peter Beattie to hold an in-house inquiry into Pauline Hanson and David Ettridge’s Incarceration, instead of having an open Independent Inquiry.

9.      The Howard Government ably supported by the Opposition Parties covered up the answers the majority of Australians seek:                                   a)  Did Judge Patsy Anne Wolfe, Misdirect the Jury?                                        b)  Was the judge politically appointed?                                                              c)  What part if any, did the Beattie Labor Government play in this saga?  d)  Why has the Howard Government and Opposition Parties remained                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           tight-lipped about the part Health Minister Tony Abbott has played in this conspiracy?                                                                                                                 e)  Why has the Howard Government and the Latham Opposition failed to demand Tony Abbot make public the financial donors to his “Australians for Honest Politics,” which raised nearly $100,000 to fight Pauline Hanson?

10.  Wasn’t it John Howard who said, “there never, never, ever be a GST, it’s off the Agenda forever?”

11.  The Howard Government spent 100 million plus to retain a Constitutional Monarchy.  Why then, has Mr. Howard and his relevant Agencies failed to uphold the Constitution and enforce Federal Laws, re: the invalid and illegal drug legislation by the NSW Carr Labor Government in respect to the licensing of the Kings Cross trial injecting room?  In fact, the failure of the Prime Minister and his relevant Agencies to enforce Federal Law, in reality makes them guilty of indicatable offences under their own Act.  All the evidence can be found on our main page, Link >>>> Invalid Drug Laws.

12.  Treasurer Costello on implementation of the GST said this was a single tax system, but failed to tell us about the 600 hidden taxes and levies.  For further information return to our min page Link >>>> Picking Our Pockets.

13.  Should John Howard be re-elected we have grave doubts that he will serve his full term.  If this is true, can we afford to risk having Abbott or Costello as Prime Minister of Australia?

14.  The Greens Policy, ECSTASY and other illegal drugs would be supplied over the counter to young users under a radical policy framed by Bob Brown’s Greens.  Greens’ policy backs supply of ECSTASY as well as state sanctioned Heroin and Marijuana sales at what it calls “appropriate venues.”  Greens’ policy also calls for encouraging farmers off the land and laws to force people on to bicycles and off a meat diet.  It also advocates higher taxes and Capital Gains Tax on the Family Home.  Other Greens proposals include Medicare funding for Sex-Change Operations, and an open door policy on Asylum Seekers who make it to our shores.

15.  The Liberal Party’s membership turning a blind eye to the biggest branch-stacking since Federation (1901) by Merchant Banker Malcom Trunbull against the incumbent for the Wentworth electorate Peter King, for pre-selection at the upcoming election, was an open display of contempt against an elected serving member of Parliament.  Hundreds of constituents from Peter King’s electorate have assured us that he has been a hard worker for his area since he was elected.  If this is factual than shame, shame, shame Mr. Howard in failing to protect one of your elected representatives.  Although entitled to throw in the political towel, let’s hope Peter King decides to finish the job he commenced by representing his Constituents as an Independent Candidate for Wentworth.

FREE TRADE AGREEMENT (FTA)

We must alert visitors to our website that every political party was aware of all the Concessions that were conceded to the United States for a FTA.

With the exception of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) and Television Content not one of the other Concessions was made public.

On June 30, 2004 at the American Club in Sydney, two Labor front benchers health spokeswoman Julia Gillard and her partner industrial relations spokesman Craig Emerson were the star attractions at a $1,000 a plate fundraiser organised by Medicines Australia, the lobby group representing the interests of Major multinational Drug companies.

Both the Howard-Anderson Coalition and the Latham Labor Opposition are benefactors of financial donations from many Multinational Companies including Pharmaceutical Companies.  There is no such thing as a free lunch when dealing with the world of business.

We would like to draw your attention to the “red herring” that Latham’s Labor opposition performed when making an Amendment to the PBS, in the Senate.

The most important amendment to the PBS was to rescind the establishment of an independent process to review determination of product listings.  The FTA establishes a Medicines Working Group to further promote the agreement’s public health principles through an ongoing dialogue between the United States and Australia.

In addition, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Australia Therapeutic Goods Administration will work together to make innovative medical products available more quickly.

What this means is, the Howard Coalition and the Latham Opposition have left a gaping loop-hole where the American Administrators can tell us what medical products can be on the PBS and what medical products can be on the PBS and what medical products they reject.

Those eligible voters, who have failed to enrol, we urge you to do so before Tuesday, September 7, 2004 for the sake of our Country’s future.  Within a fortnight of the election we will provide a list of Independent Candidates we will be supporting and urge you to do likewise.

WAKE UP AUSTRALIA! BEFORE YOU DISCOVER ONE MORNING THAT THE REAL AUSTRALIA HAS DISAPPEARED.

With due respect we apologise that we were unable to find any Truth, Honesty, Accountability or Transparency which surely reflects the sad situation we as Australians find ourselves in.

We will continue the fight to make one Australia for all Australians, and you are all invited to join us.
