RURAL
AUSTRALIANS BETRAYED BY THE “JUNIOR LIBERALS,” THE NATIONALS
Let’s have a look at the
Nationals and how they failed to protect their Rural Constituents:
When Howard’s CITY LIBERALS
demanded that Analogue mobile phones be phased out and replaced by digital
phones, promising a better and more reliable service for the bush. We don’t have to tell you that this was a
money-making ploy, and the digital system nation-wide, is a flop.
How the Nationals have stood by in silence as
Deregulation in the Dairy Industry led to more than 1,000 farmers leaving their
properties, although farmers and consumers were promised they would be
financially better off. The only winners were the major milk processors and
retailers such as Aldi, Coles and Woolworths. It is also
worth noting that the Howard Government replacement for the shamed member of
the Reserve Bank Board, Robert Gerard, with Woolworths CEO Roger Corbett,
another job for the “boys.”
If anyone had any doubts that the
Howard-Vaile-Liberal-Nationals are the epitome of Nazi Germany’s Adolph Hitler
and his Gestapo should read “The Rise and Fall of the
Third Reich.” An example of this is the Howard Government’s rush to push three
pieces of vital legislation through both Houses of Federal Parliament by
undemocratically gagging debate on Australia’s three most important pieces of
legislation, which entailed the Full Sale of Telstra, changes to the Industrial
Relations Laws and Anti-Terrorism Laws.
National Senator Barnaby Joyce, who looked to be one of the few shining
lights for Rural Australia, buckled under pressure from Howard’s hard man,
Liberal Senator Bill Heffernan.
The gagging of debate by the Howard Coalition of
these three bills must have the tens of thousands of young Australians who gave
their blood for the right to live under a democracy with the right to freedom
of speech turning in their graves.
How the Howard-Vaile-Liberal-Nationals compromised
our high standards of Quarantine for the U.S.–Australia Free Trade Agreement.
How Messrs. Howard and Vaile agreed to allow the
The only chance Australia has of ever returning to
the boom days of the 1960’s and very early 1970’s is to replace National Party
members with Independents, such as concerned members of your community who owe
their allegiance to their constituents rather than the welfare of the party
machine. How can Rural Australia vote for a Liberal–National Coalition when all
the big decisions are made by City Liberals, and it’s no different with the
Labor Opposition. A vote for the “Junior Liberals”,
the Nationals, is a vote for the City Liberals who order the Nationals to jump
and the Nationals response is, yes, how high.
