SUPER COUNCILS AND
AMALGAMATIONS
Grant, what is
the Carr Government’s Agenda re, Local Government? Amalgamations and the
Creation of Super Councils, could it be to cover up the Allegations of
Questionable Practices by Councils such as Rockdale and Liverpool? Or maybe,
they’re protecting their Labor Colleagues who control My Council Canterbury?
In 2001 they
introduced a three year Roads and Footpath Levy which is included in our Rates,
but Fails to Identify the amount we are charged.
There is no
doubt in my mind that the Carr Labor Government has Plagiorised the Liberal –
National’s Policy of User Pays. Both
the NSW and Federal Government aided and abetted by their Bureaucrats do not
realize that the taxes and levies collected from we “Mugs” should be utilized
towards infrastructure, re Health, Education, Maintenance of roads and our
State Rail System. It’s called Public
Service.
When a
Government Treasurer Boasts that his Government has a Budget Surplus, that’s
when you realize that we the Taxpayer have been robbed, for at best a
Government should be a non-profit Organisation.
Grant, Rural
NSW is suffering high unemployment, Deregulation and Drought and now this
uncaring Carr Labor Government wants to enforce further Hardship on Rural
Towns. I.e. If Blayney is forced to
Amalgamate with Orange Council, Blayney resident/ratepayers would have to fork
out up to Three Hundred Dollars Extra Rates per year.
The Arrogance
and Ignorance of the Carr Labor Government is visible to all, by their
Undemocratic and Dictatorial attitude re: Council Amalgamations without
consultation to the Resident/ Ratepayers for N.S.W. Shame, Shame and Shame.
