Grant, the Weekend’s Illawarra Mercury Re: the bashing of Australian Manufacturing Workers Union Secretary Doug Cameron last Tuesday morning.

Replacement federal work-place relations Minister for Tony Abbott, Kevin Andrews said, “The attack showed the need to crack down on violence and intimidation in the union movement.”

Stating this, without knowing the identity of the assailent.  One must consider other possible suspects, as Doug Cameron’s fair, but brutal attacks on supporters of Free Trade, i.e. the Howard Government and the Labor Opposition have borne the brunt of Doug’s critism in Canberra on October 27, and last Thursday week when he debated the Shadow Minister for Trade, Labor’s Senator Conroy.

I’ve often been critical of Australian unions on your show, but I believe the Union movement will be exonerated, re; the bashing of Doug Cameron.  The reason being the Unions are united in their stance against a Free Trade Agreement.

Grant, if any “Fair Dinkum” Aussies doubted statements that I’ve made re; Premier Carr and his Government, that they are controlling NSW in a manner not Dissimilar to Hitler and Stalin came home to roost last week when they legislated to overturn a Land and Environment Court’s decision, re; a waste transfer terminal at Clyde.

Collex the French Company, the benefactor of the Carr Government’s legislation will ship more than 400,000 tonnes of rubbish a year to a disused mine at Woodlawn near Goulburn, all this in the centre of Labor heartland.

Grant, I’ll ask two questions:-

  1. Should the Collex contract details remain confidential?
  2. Knowing Collex has donated 89,000 Dollars over a four year period to the Labor Party Slush Fund; do your listeners believe that Premier Carr would be capable of granting a favour to a benefactor?  i.e. Collex!
