ELECTIONS COME AT A COST-

Taxpayers will pay a record $60 million to the NSW State Electoral Office (SEO) to conduct next years March State election. Figures contained in the NSW June State budget papers display at least $8.5 Million of the funds will be split among political parties and candidates. A further $2.6 million will be spent on educating voters on the redistribution of electorates. Just under $37 million will be provided to the SEO to administer the March election.
